Landon Kaline is a 2009-born American soccer player currently competing for Baltimore Armour U19 Homegrown in MLS NEXT. A versatile utility player, Landon has demonstrated the ability to contribute across multiple positions, including defensive midfield (No. 6), attacking midfield (No. 10), winger, wingback, and outside back.

Currently playing as a No. 6 for Baltimore Armour, Landon also represented the 2026 ODP Europe All-Star Team as an attacking midfielder (No. 10) during international competition in Germany, where he scored against Eintracht Trier. His ability to transition between attacking and defensive roles reflects his tactical understanding, adaptability, and well-rounded development.

His soccer pathway includes full-time training and competition in Spain, Barça Residency Academy, MLS NEXT, and selections to the ODP South Region, ODP National Select Team, and ODP Europe All-Star Team.

Raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Landon began his competitive career in EDP Division 1, serving as captain of one of the region's top-ranked teams. Originally an attacking player, he contributed goals and assists while developing the pace, creativity, technical ability, and attacking instincts that continue to influence his game.

His early experience in attacking positions established a foundation that would later allow him to transition successfully into defensive and central midfield roles.

His performances earned opportunities for international competition, including Surf Cup International Salou in Spain, where he gained his first experience competing against elite European opposition.

In March 2024, at age 14, Landon relocated to Valencia, Spain, to train and compete full-time. While attending school, he trained and competed within the Spanish RFEF system with UD Vall de Uxó, gaining valuable experience in a demanding, possession-oriented soccer environment.

Immersed in Spanish methodology, he refined his first touch, positional awareness, technical quality, decision-making, and speed of play. His exposure to different tactical systems contributed significantly to his ability to understand and execute multiple positional responsibilities.

During his time in Spain, he competed in the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC) in 2024 and 2025, as well as Surf Cup Salou in 2024 and 2025, facing professional academy opponents from across Europe. His performances included an assist against Arsenal's academy and a goal and assist against Villarreal CF academy sides.

In 2025, Landon earned a trial with CF La Nucía and received an offer to join the club's Juvenil team before returning to the United States for family reasons.

His time in Spain remains a defining part of his development, providing both international playing experience and a strong technical and tactical foundation.

Landon's ODP career reflects his ability to compete at a high level in both attacking and defensive positions.

While living in Europe, he represented ODP Europe in international competition in Germany and Italy.

In July 2025, Landon was selected to the ODP South Region Team and represented the region at the ODP Interregional Tournament in January 2026. Playing primarily as a right winger and attacking midfielder, he recorded 2 goals and 1 assist, helping his team finish first in its group.

His performances earned selection to the 2009 ODP National Select Team, which traveled to Valencia, Spain, in April 2026 to compete against Spanish professional academy opposition, including CD Castellón, Villarreal CF, and Levante UD. Playing primarily at right back, Landon demonstrated defensive reliability, tactical discipline, and the ability to adapt to a different role at the national level.

In July 2026, Landon was selected to the ODP Europe All-Star Team, traveling to Germany to compete against elite German youth clubs, including SV Waldhof Mannheim, FC 08 Homburg, TuS Koblenz, SV Elversberg, Eintracht Trier

Competing as an attacking midfielder (No. 10), Landon contributed a goal against Eintracht Trier, demonstrating his ability to contribute offensively against high-level European competition.

His selection and performances further highlighted his versatility, having competed as a winger and attacking midfielder at the regional level, outside back for the ODP National Select Team, and No. 10 for the ODP Europe All-Star Team.

After returning from Spain in 2025, Landon earned a place at Barça Residency Academy, where he competed in the U17 MLS NEXT Academy Division while training within FC Barcelona's positional-play methodology.

His time at Barça further developed his technical consistency, tactical awareness, composure in possession, and understanding of positional responsibilities within a structured system.

In July 2026, Landon joined Baltimore Armour U19 Homegrown in MLS NEXT, continuing his development in a highly competitive environment.

Currently playing as a defensive midfielder (No. 6), Landon has expanded his responsibilities into central midfield, where positioning, defensive awareness, ball distribution, and decision-making are essential.

His transition into the No. 6 role reflects the versatility he has developed throughout his career, having previously competed as a winger, wingback, outside back, and attacking midfielder.
